In case you were wondering, Meg's blurb in the last panel reads: "Although, did you know that the tomato is acutally native to North America and that tomato sauce with pasta only appears for the first time in 1790 in the Italian cookbook L'Apicio moderno, by Roman chef Francesco Leonardi? But everyone thinks that they’ve always been using it! And pizza used to just be bread, oil, herbs and cheese! Doesn’t do anything for me though. I love me some tomato sauce!"
Also, I don't want to hear any complaints about how a Hawaiian pizza doesn't have all four food groups because there aren't any veggies on it, because a tomato might as well be a vegetable as far as I'm concerned. SO THERE.
