?

No it does, it mean 'he made'. 'Rofeh' means doctor in Hebrew.

But good try!

Quite possibly, those are never accurate.

And now I'm expecting Tam-tam or Catman to come and say that it does indeed mean doctor, in some obscure sense.

Would that be the 'call to prayer'? That drove us up the wall last year, at four in the morning.

Today was eventful, and I have news to share... but I'm swamped in work, haven't slept in a little more than a day, am absolutely exhausted, and sick.

Today Tenshi is, according to some friends, begging for a repeat performance of his Head vs Floor victory.

Will try and update with the news/update from my Neurology appointment, it's good news, but takes some explanation. For now, back to my essay that's due in... 10 hours and 50 minutes.

so tired...

Put the update in your hospital thread, if it's going to be that long. And I demand you take a twenty minute speed nap, I promise it will help!

It's more time constraint than space constraint. I promise a nice "Today" update...uh, some time. And I'll probably move Bering forward this weekend, regardless of posts.

Coming up on Dead Week. Man, I'm looking forward to that...

**returns hugs?**

Almost done. Just three paragraphs left...which means I'll probably take six to expand on my ideas and present the data in a way that I feel is "sufficient". If I weren't such an overachiever, I probably wouldn't be so lacking in sleep.

On the other hand, my professors wouldn't love me as much. Oh, that reminds me of more stuff I have to share! I'll try and do that tonight before I sleep, because it's cool. Mm...

**goes back to writing**

Oof, double-post!

Okay, so everything is done and I'm going to crash and catch six hours sleep before class. Some updates on today!

Today I had my Neurology Appointment, and the head doctor in the department told me... that they pretty much don't know what happened. I'm being referred to Cardiology, and they're conducting an MRI. So, more tests, more unanswered questions. Here's hoping, yeah? However, the head honcho there was really funny, and he also said that if all the tests came back negative (for problems), that I should be fine to drive.

SWEET!

But that requires that all of the tests come back negative, and then I also have to get the "all clear" from the head honcho. And, to boot, I'm not even entirely 100% sure that it'll be legal at that point. I have a little bit of digging to do on that, and I'm seriously trying not to get my hopes up. I'm planning for it not to happen...

But I really hope it does.

Today I woke up really early to schedule my classes as soon as registration opened, only to find that some of the classes I have to take for my major were full. I spent all my spare time today chasing professors around, and eventually snuck my way into two full classes. Because they liked me, they overbooked me into the class! See, there are advantages to chatting up your lab TA and your professors after class...

Today was, all around, a pretty decent day (if really busy!). No nap in the middle of the day, but I got a ton of stuff done. Tomorrow will be busy too, with more running around to try and get things sorted out.

Tomorrow I have to:

1) Write another essay for another class (but this one is mostly done already)
2) Visit Vocation Rehabilitation, using my new-found medical condition for free stuff for college (schweet!)

Busy busy! Now it's nap time.

@ Tenshi: Feeling you on the subjects. Today I had to organise my classes for next year, and there were clashes between History and Studio Art (dropping History for Media) and between VCAD and French. Which is pretty much like Sophie's choice only slightly less dramatic. But it's getting sorted.

Actually, I think Asa does mean "doctor". It sounds like the word for "he made", true, but that's spelled ayin shin hey, not alef samech alef. The name Asa is taken from one of the kings of Judah, which is why there are a couple streets named Asa here. It has no other meaning that I'm aware of in modern Hebrew, but biblical names without a modern meaning generally had a meaning in ancient Hebrew*, which was a tad different from the modern Hebrew.

Now, unfortunately, I don't know ancient Hebrew, but since every site I see agrees that Asa means "doctor" or "healer", I'm willing to take their word for it.

*For example, the name Sarah/Sarai means "princess", but that's rather unrelated to modern Hebrew, which has "princess" as "nesicha", "sarah" as "her minister" and "sarai" as "my ministers".

Today I congradulate Tenshi on his mostly good news.

Today I woke up to find that my parents campervan has been broken into.

They broke the clasps that hold the roof down, lifted the roof up, put a great big slit into the canvas to get in, smashed in the steering column and then cut all the wires under the dashboard. At least they didn't steal it.

Mum's on the phone to the insurance company now.
