Clothing gnomes, clothing gnomes, clothing gnomes!
That is surprisingly difficult to type.
Winter looks like River Song! Maybe the hair is a little less phoofy, but the costume, stance and facial expression are all her! Hello sweetie. _________________ He who does not eat cheese will go mad. ~ French proverb.

Ha! Yeah, I guess she does a little. It's been almost a year (sadly) since I've gotten to watch any Doctor Who. _________________ Keeper of Nanashi's Vambraces and the Amethyst Trees.

Clothing gnomes clothing gnomes clothing gnomes!
Interestingly, those houses look quite modern... I wasn't expecting to see hinges on Earthsong. I wonder who designed them?
Also, can someone please explain the green patches on the roofs to me? I can't quite figure out what they're meant to be... |

I know I've been gone for ages and ages, and right now I'm studying archaeology in Ireland, but I HAD to post when I saw that lovely message from the lady on the front page. I still say gnomes oughta play a part. _________________ If you're reading this, you haven't quite made it to the next post. |

Aww, old forum member reunion! ^_^
That's a tarp stretched over one of the roofs. Mreh. Even as I was drawing it, I thought to myself that it really wasn't going to come across well at that resolution. Perhaps I'll switch it to some sort of haphazardly nailed in wood.
I just wanted that one cabin to look like it had been somewhat maintained, vs the other two which are more dilapidated.
As for their modernity... I was honestly just going for "cabin"! I thought about doing them in the same "grown" way that you see most of the furniture in the Haven, but I figured that that should be something I'd keep JUST to the Haven.

Really really really excited about the possible clothing gnomes!

Oh look, it's a little Turkish dude!
Yaaaa, clothing gnomes! ^______^ So excited!!!!!!
I figured out that it was a tarp, or I guessed so. Took a few tries, but that was my deduction.
This page is called, "Willow continues learning how to be manipulative." I kind of want to shake Earthsong and tell her to grow a bit more of a spine, though I do see why she's feeling so guilty.
And regarding the vote incentive - do you not like Winter, Lady? Seems this Winter is sort of antagonistic... ^_~ _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

I like winter just fine (Gooooooo Canada!) but if you were going to call one of the seasons "mean" it'd definitely have to be Winter. Mean isn't exactly what I was going for though... more of a "tough" really. _________________ Keeper of Nanashi's Vambraces and the Amethyst Trees.

Well, antagonistic isn't the same as mean, though, isn't it? More like confrontational. But there's another side of Winter, and that's sledding in the sun, making snowmen with little children, and drinking hot cups of cocoa.
Actually, you could do a whole series of gentle-faced seasons in long flowing skirts, but yours is definitely more interesting. ^_^ _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

Ooh, that would be fun to do! The many faces of the seasons, like on a playing card! But art deco ... if I didn't have an assignment to type up I would totally do this now. _________________ He who does not eat cheese will go mad. ~ French proverb.
