Perfect pacing, Lady. I felt like I could see the camera move, and that's always a good thing. The way you draped the fabric is really nice too, it really lends more weight to the spider-gnome idea. So either it is a spider, or spider pets (that's what I wish for), or it'll be something else entirely and you have to joy of having led us up the garden path. ^_^

I like the incentive too, very cleanly drawn.

So much work, though thank goodness I had the sketchup models to work with. Those things have been a life saver recently.

Oh, that reminds me of a question. If everything (or mostly everything) is falling apart, how are the windows so perfectly in shape? I would have thought those would be the first to go.

Spinster has kept his cabin up - you probably can't see it at the web resolution, but the other cabins' windows are smashed/cracked.

Lovely page! I like the silk pattern, and the gnome's priorities.

I wasn't really expecting a smurf hat, I was expecting something more like the Brownies of Scottish myth. Wrinkled and not necessarily cute, but industrious.

Not a spider! Well, sort of a spider. But not really a spider!

That was my reaction when I first saw Spinster. Then I read the dialogue and rolled my eyes.Then I took a closer look at the character design and noticed how his arm sets are all different sizes. And the veil - don't those things usually go above the nose? I'm curious as to whether that was an intentional decision on your part, or just a quirk of design.

Personally, I think you helping to support your family comes before gratifying our procrastination. ^_^ I'm glad you had a successful surprise con.

I like the design of Spinster, and I don't think he's creepy-looking! He's a very handsome spider-being! I'm curious though, did you base him on a myth or is he so rarely seen that no one has myths based on his people?
