It amuses me how much everyone loves Spinster. I rather like him too, if I'm allowed to say that sort of thing about my own creation.

I love the new pages. I like Spinster's compassion and evenhanded view of Nanashi, and I"m relieved Willow is mature enough to acknowledge that truth.

And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the wallpaper sketch. I wish I had enough money to donate, so I could see the finished product. Sad

Interesting! All the lines are sharper in the not-Willow, and the ear too - not that I remember knowing what Willow's ear looks like. It's always been covered by her hair. And the color is wrong too, more blue than purple.

I wonder if Willow was born when Bel infused his element into Earthsong's crust?

Ooh - I love that clairvoyant thought!

So Bel wasn't insane to begin with - his Eve went insane and became the catalyst for his breakdown!

Maybe we've been looking at Genesis the wrong way; we always wanted to say he had malicious intent from the get-go. Earthsong could have jumped to conclusions about him; at the planetary council, Bel was already aware of the situation, and he worked out a solution - being genuinely helpful. When Sage objects, Bel feels snubbed - and I probably would, too! They don't let him fully explain his clever plan.

The next time we see him, he's survived a cataclysmic event, and he says that he's doing what he needs to survive - Earthsong never actually lets him explain, she just attacks.

We know that Eves are (more or less) immortal, right? We also know that they are tied to their planet; I wonder if Bel's Eve went crazy and died, which in turn messed him up. Or maybe his Eve led a revolution where he was forced to shatter his planet/kill them all or risk dying himself. We see that he's speckled now - much like his dead brother Jericho. He could have lost a lot of element and just needs help.
