Mercredi Buckets everyone
(my grade 6 teacher used to say that instead of Merci Beaucoup)
As for can he/can't he... He can't. If he could, then Earthsong wouldn't need Siderian element for her duties as Stonekeeper.
No one ever said he couldn't lie to his minions Most of the Mandragora don't have a particularly accurate/detailed knowledge of how all this works. _________________ Keeper of Nanashi's Vambraces and the Amethyst Trees.

Strikes me throwing his minions to the mercies of Earthsong would eventually achieve the same thing anyway as far as sending them home goes so... _________________ Never forget,

So, Tristram really has nothing to fear except Fear itself...
If he'd just make a stand and call Bel's bluff, there wouldn't bee too much left that Bel could do to him...
Can he still do that "heart wrenching", after already having yanked the Soulstone out of Trissy's chest? _________________

So... Bel can't send Tristram home, but he can send him to fight Nanashi and/or Earthsong. Or just plain kill him, if he feels like being straightforward. I'd be scared if I didn't want to go home. _________________ Dubbed "Fish" by Asa. Wren->Fish

I'm not sure I understand where you're coming from with this question. If Beluosus takes out Tristram's soulstone, he's dead. End of story there. He could wrench it all he likes afterwards, but Tristram'd still be dead.
I always worry that I haven't explained the soulstone/taint/whatever else situation well enough. Sorry if there's any confusion here. _________________ Keeper of Nanashi's Vambraces and the Amethyst Trees.

It seems pretty clear to me. However, it's somewhat interesting to learn (though I should have realized long ago) that Bel cannot send children home. Now one wonders, does Bel's soulstone-wrenching have spacial limits? If Tristram were to be teleported really far away, would he be able to escape Bel's control? |

Perhaps I misunderstood, but I thought that in the old version of Lament Trissy told Willow that Belosius had yanked his Soulstone out and keeps it in his hideout. That was how Bel kept up the threat of sending Trissy home.
Then again, I also thought that al Bel had to do to send Tristram home was to smash that Soulstone of his... _________________

@JackAce, Tristram said that Bel had yanked his Soulstone to hurt him, he didn't pull it out entirely.
And bear in mind, many plot points from the original have been changed, some parts of the original aren't relavant to the redux. _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

Squee loves the Willow expression here too...
Also, as for a chair flying at ya...Squee had a dolly (big metal thing to move heavy stuff) fly off a trunk once at Squee on the freeway. Just about went through Squee's windshield. Luckily, modern car glass is a wonder of nature, or we wouldn't have a Squee with a head anymore. Luckily, just a broken windshield and loss of heart function for several minutes...
Also, no sign of truck that dropped it anywhere. |

Eeeee! Even closer to the flashback! I can't wait!
And I very much love the second panel on this page. It's hard to imagine this is the same naive lil Willow from just a few pages back. _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA
