Unfortunately I have been getting little sleep of late, but sitting here the muse has slapped me across the face. So now I must lament...in rhyme!

I dream of wonders, I dream of death.
I wake up shaking and short of breath.
I dream whole stories, both seen and read.
Made into strange tales inside my head.
But in all my dreams I must ask why,
I never have the power to fly?
I have been a child, lost in a mall,
and a clever thief making off with his haul,
I have remade the stars with powers unbound.
Then why do my feet always seem stuck to the ground?
It's said that conscious dreamers can control what they see.
But the opposite seems to happen to me.
When I know that I sleep, my magic just dies.
Stripped of my powers all I can do is arise.

Heh, most of my poetry is for spells or riddles I use when I run or play roleplaying games. So most of it is simple rhyming verse.
Dubbed Marcus by Asa
Magus Gar Kan = Magus = Margus = Marcus

"Nothing is predictable in regards to humans, save for their infuriating ability to do the unexpected."

I'm not dead, just lurking and very very tired.

Tiptoe through the minefield *boom*
In several places, that is where I'll beeee
Come tiptoe through the minefield with me

Oh, tiptoe from the bodies
Trying not to let them seeee
And tiptoe through the minefield with me

Knee deep in blood we will stray
We'll keep all the other people away
And if I kill you in the blood, in the moonlight
Will you pardon me?
And tiptoe through the minefield with me

A cheap fit of whimsey. Razz
Never forget,
We stroll along the roof of hell
Gazing at flowers.

Poem I wrote:
I wrote it cause... I wanted to. Umm.. i like it. Not gonna lie. but that's all i have to say really.

The memories hum on velvet torn wings.
Listen to each word delicately, slowly, slip off the eyes.
They fall into a bowl of hands.
Nostalgically, they are nursed behind lips.
I met a man in a dream
he spoke only of the past and misplaced touches.
"No ears," he whispered.
Listen to the colours and shapes each sound beats against the still.
He taught me why the hungry sky swallowed us all whole
showed me how hands mapped the imperfections, stealing the breath
Love was a sunrise in my dream.
Love composed itself out of the sway of blood.
Loved listened without anvils to my tentative pitter patters.
Younger, now, I run with fresh bee stings
My foot will find night mud to kiss away the fire.
No shoes, those were the consequences.
I was warned.
Fire that burned my soul.
Fire promised to listen.
I yelled, shaking the atoms from their limbs.
His name dissolved with the each waking sigh.
His name rearranged veins to stay.
The man sank deep within, listening.
Etched carefully by neurons the song that played on his skin echoed.
His name is mine.
His name is fire.
His name is listen.
His name love.
I can't remember....oh *le sigh*

this is sorta odd that miho's is followed by mine.
this is my ranty freeverse thing. When I need to vent I make up these weird poem-essays...
this is latest one...

It's as clear as dirt,
My hearts being melted by a million flaming arrows,
and unlike Hamlet, it's not like I cannot be
I'll never tell you about me,
Expect an arm's-length friendship,
it's just convienient for me,
Convenient for you.
Please don't make the mistake
of thinking you actually love me,
Or give a damn about my words
it's fine,
In my life, I've learned to deal with it
Goodbye, earth, and human race,
I'm sorta sick of your goddamn face.

In my brain, I'm someone famous AND important!

There's one answer I can never find, not just a basic state of mind;
There are things that ring of deeper truth, things blindly held before in youth;
Of all I wish I could forget, there's one thing hasn't happened yet;
I'll never pass your way again, and on that day I lost my closest friend.
