Oooooooooooooh Britty you have no idea how jealous I am.

I'm back on the internets after a month of refusing to look at my computer. There is much to catch up on! Not least my work. It has been a lovely break though and I'm looking forward to getting back into it.

I'm back in the States for six weeks, for the High Holidays. Just got back from a visit to my brother's campus, as well as whirlwind visits with the various family members in the area. Nothing much exciting - I'm trying to get my life back in order, and complete the papers I was supposed to complete over the summer - so I might not have much to say.

Today I started interning at the hospital as a PR writer.

I also got asked to cover three events for the environmental center.

It's been a good day. ^_________^

Well I didn't manage to get very far back into things before my body crapped out on me again. I have a recurring problem which refuses to go away, despite three operations in the last two years. It reared its ugly head again at the weekend so I spent Tuesday night in hospital. Grump. I'm on the way to recovery now, but it's very frustrating. Hoping to have a final op to fix the problem once and for all in a couple of months.

Hope you're all well *hugs*

Refuah sheleimah, Alli, get well soon!

I've been burying myself in work, therapy, and holidays. Went to visit my brother and his friends for a week, which was fun; went shopping with my mom; went to RenFest with a friend, which was fun AND I replaced the hair fork my dog ate (plus a bonus hairstick I got for free); and had all the high holidays to unwind.

I just hope the progress I've made this past month remains when I go back to Israel.

Thanks chaps, I'm healing up well, and it's much less unpleasant to be ill at home with my Mum and Dad to look after me!

Asa, glad to hear you're taking care of yourself, keep up the good work!

I graduated from university a couple of years ago and since then I've found it impossible to get a permanant job that's actually related to my degree.

So I've decided to go back to uni and do a Masters degree in Classics and Ancient History.

I start tomorrow and I am very very nervous.

Wish me luck.

Flying back to Israel on Sunday. I completed my overdue papers, began to work on my thesis data, and cut out a dress with my mother. I did a TON of shopping, and took requests from people in Israel currently. I screwed my head back on straight, and hopefully gained the right tools to keep it that way in the future.

I feel pretty accomplished, even if there are a lot more things I feel like I could have done as well.

*Hugs Asa*

I'm really glad you're feeling a bit better ^_^

Best of retro active luck Britland. (Though I'm sure you won't need it!) ^_^

Today I've, done practically nothing since it's the morning Razz

In about 30 minutes I'm driving up to my volunteering thingy. Don't know if I've mentioned that before - anyway it's a help people back into work thing. I teach people to use computers, write cover letters, CVs etc. I'm not really huge advice guy - 'cause what do I know about finding work? Kinda feel like someone who has limited success should maybe keep their mouth zipped on that front (and there's a comment on jobcentre if I've ever seen one, I know people there who've never worked anywhere except jobcentre) - but I do a lot of stuff with their KPIs and so on that they can't work out themselves. Kinda fishing for a job there, I like the work and the people and I know they want to hire me - just kinda an issue of their being a tad underfunded.

Even if I don't get one though, it's good to feel useful. ^_^

I'm glad to hear you've been doing well, Asa! I hope it continues!!

I hope they're able to offer you a job, Nem!

Today it's October 8th. I graduate in two months. I should start job hunting. Sigh.

On the bright side, the local newspaper has an opening for a reporter, but I'm not sure how to go about applying for it. Also on the bright side, I think the hospital I'm interning at has PR openings, and transferring is pretty easy, I'm told.

On the not so bright side, I'm panicky and I've hurt my back again.

Write a letter to the newspaper asking about the opening. Pretty much anyone will do, just ask that they forward the message to the appropriate person.

Same for the hospital - if that's a path you want to explore, ask your supervisor about the appropriate people to talk to.

What'd you do to your back? Get better soon!

Take a deep breath. Graduation is not cause for panic. You've done well in school (so far as I've heard), you've accomplished a LOT (multiple internships, international trips, completed college), and pursued your dreams. You've done amazingly well, and I hope you have only brightness in your future!
