RSS Issues

Hi, I've been reading Earthsong for a couple months now and once I realized how many webcomics I read I decided it would be far easier to just get an RSS reader then to remember to check when they all update.

I have a couple dozen feeds from comics, blogs, etc. but Earthsong is the only one I've encountered that doesn't work. As far as I can tell, the feed itself updates, but doesn't display in my reader.

Anyone have any ideas?

My reader is the RSS Ticker Firefox add-on, by the way.

It's probably because the feed doesn't validate. Lady maintains it by hand, and it's easy to make mistakes that way -- the ones here are mostly thinks like this:

<pubDate>Mon, 01 May 2012 02:20:59 EST</pubDate>

... which is wrong, because May 1st was a Tuesday this year.

So I harassed the Twitterverse today and found a new WORKING option for my rss feed.

Yeah ... I've never known anyone else who maintained an RSS feed by hand. Most people use the built in functionality of a content management system, write a script to do it, or use a third party service.

I think it shows just how lovingly The Lady takes care of Earthsong, but I also think that sometimes learning a more efficient, easier way is better for artist and viewer. ^_^ Glad it's on the mend now.

Sorry Lady, but it's still not working.

The same problem as before seems to be happening where the feed updates but the reader doesn't.

I unfortunately don't have any suggestions, I just thought you should know.

Um, do you maybe want to put one last post on the old RSS feed, redirecting folks to the new one? I had just assumed that there hadn't been any updates in a month or so...and then I checked this morning and realized that I was suddenly way behind! Embarassed

(And I had another forum account, years ago, but I can't remember what the login was... oh well...)
